Project History
of 2BG:
We submitted an expression of interest entitled ‘Black, Blue and Green – Integrated Infrastructure Planning as Key to Sustainable Urban Water Systems’ to the Programme Commission on Energy and Environment within The Danish Council for Strategic Research in May 2006. The Commission approved our expression of interest and we submitted a project application by September 15, 2006. The 2BG started officially on 1 March 2007.
2BG is supported by The Danish Council for Strategic Research with DKR 8 mio. Ph.D. projects are additionally supported by Municipality of Odense, Odense Water Ltd., DHI water and environment, Grontmij|Carl Bro, Watertech, Danish Technical University, and Faculty of Life Science at Copenhagen University (previously KVL) with approximately DKR 3.7 mio. All partners partly or fully support the project with hours, resulting in a total project budget of DKR 17.5 mio.
The number of partners is 15 (see Participants), representing universities, private companies, professional associations, the Danish Road Directorate and three municipalities.
