A6: Towards lean integrated planning
Contact: Susanne Balslev Nielsen, DTU management, sbn@byg.dtu.dk
Goal:
Lack of collaboration between stakeholders hinders integrated infrastructure planning (Graham and Marvin 2001, Elle et al. 2003, Brown 2005). A research activity focusing on the planning process(es) presently taking place in Odense (“Vand I Byen 2030”) will be documented and discussed in relation to different collaboration strategies and lean construction theories (e.g. Jørgensen 2006). Conditions that hinder integrated infrastructure planning will be identified, and to stakeholder-driven, integrated and adaptive planning approaches in support of 2BG-solutions will be devised (Hoffman et al., 2003; Rauch et al., 2005). The research methodologies are dialogue workshops, interviews with key persons representing stakeholder groups and focus group interviews, constraint to Odense.
Status, March 2008:
The dialogue workshop activities are planned in combination with A8-activities and the result is a concept of a series of workshops for dialogue and learning of public integrated water management.
